WYSA expects all registered players in a given season to attend most of the practices and games and we build the teams relying on that expectation. However, we recognize that kids have other activities that might conflict and as a result, the minimum attendance requirement is to attend at least one practice per week and 80% of the games. Again, this is the minimum requirement and we expect players to exceed that requirement.
If a player who has not met the minimum attendance requirements registers to play in the following season, WYSA will require the parents or guardians to confirm that the player will meet the requirement before being placed on a team. Players who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirements for reasons unrelated to injury in consecutive seasons will require board approval before being allowed to register for future WYSA programs.
