MYSA COVID-19 Protocols - Fall 2021

Please see the following September 1st, 2021 update from Mass Youth Soccer regarding the conditions for play for Fall of 2021. We strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and restrictions that apply to each stage of Massachusetts phased reopening from the COVID-19 pandemic. While comprehensive, the guidelines will evolve as circumstances change, so please check back regularly.

MYSA 09/01/21 COVID-19 Protocols

WYSA In-Town Soccer - Fall 2021

Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd Grade players will play on Saturday afternoons at Mylod (09/11 - 11/13), and Grades 1 and 2 players will also have midweek skills clinics on Wednesday evenings at the South Walpole Community Athletic Complex.

The In-Town program consists of skills clinics (supervised by professional coaches), followed by small-sided games. 1st grade girls and boys will play from 12:30pm - 1:30pm, Kindergarten girls and boys from 2:00pm - 3:00pm, and 2nd grade girls and boys from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Each week, your player should bring his or her:

  1. Shirt
  2. Cleats
  3. Shin pads
  4. Size 3 ball (K players receive a ball Week 1, G1 - G2 players bring their own ball)
  5. Re-useable water bottle
  6. Weather-appropriate clothing

Please check the website each week before heading to the fields for weather or field updates. Volunteer (parent) coaches are always welcome and asked to arrive 30 mins early each week. They will be provided an itinerary and demonstration by one of our professional coaches, who will remain throughout the entire session to step in and assist. No playing experience is necessary to be a successful volunteer coach. You will also enjoy a significant discount for future player registration.

WYSA College Scholarships - Spring 2022

Robert and Irene Ellis Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the Walpole Youth Soccer Association sponsors the Robert and Irene Ellis Memorial Scholarship for two graduating high school seniors (male and female) who participated in the youth soccer program and are continuing their education beyond high school. Each scholarship is worth $500. To be eligible, the applicant must:

  • Be a graduating senior
  • Be a resident of Walpole
  • Have participated in the Walpole Youth Soccer program
  • Have given back to the youth soccer community
  • Be continuing her/his education after high school.

Caroleen Midura Rosen Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the Walpole Youth Soccer Association sponsors the Caroleen Midura Rosen Memorial Scholarship for one graduating high school senior (female) who participated in the youth soccer program and is continuing her education beyond high school. To be eligible, the applicant must:

  • Be a graduating senior of Walpole High School
  • Be a resident of Walpole
  • Have participated in the Walpole Youth Soccer program for many years
  • Have participated in Walpole High School soccer
  • Be continuing her education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Have a demonstrated financial need
